The seventh A14 campaign is closed. On October 27 at 11:07 a.m. ET, I exited the entire position for $643.34 net profit, compared with the original $153 target.
As covered in the entry article, I opened two SPX put broken-wing butterflies on October 16, expiring October 30:
Buy: 2 × 7,730 PUT
Sell: 4 × 7,690 PUT
Buy: 2 × 7,635 PUT
The 40/55 structure cost $60, with $3,060 starting risk before commissions.
On October 22 at 9:52 a.m. ET, I added one 7,670 put calendar, selling October 30 and buying November 6. The adjustment cost $1,990. SPX was 7,680.88 at the preceding review.
On October 23 at 3:34 p.m. ET, I completed the second downside step: moving one 7,635 long put from October 30 to November 6, while retaining the calendar. That adjustment cost $2,365. SPX was 7,628.96 at the review.
Execution did not always follow the signals immediately. The first downside recommendation appeared on October 16; an upside-calendar signal on October 21 was not executed. The second downside step was first recommended on October 22 and executed the following day.
The October 26 review recommended closing for profit. The recorded TWS take-profit execution on October 27 closed all remaining legs for $5,090, three days before the original expiration.
Opening debit: $60
First adjustment: $1,990 debit
Second adjustment: $2,365 debit
Closing proceeds: $5,090
Gross profit: $675.00
Total commissions: $31.66
Final net profit: $643.34
The result finished $490.34 above the original target. OptionStrat shows the $675 gross gain; the journal deducts all recorded commissions. No positions remain open in this campaign.
